Funky, soulful and diverse with a voice reminiscent of Divas twice
her age, Crystal Starr’s debut CD is poised to make waves in a
music industry often focused on spectacle rather than chops. Under
the guidance of veteran producer Veit Renn (NSync, Backstreet
Boys and many others) the two created breakout singles like the
empowering “Invincible” and the anthemic "Cake”, music that manages
to remain relevant to today’s current trends, while taking you

Like most child performers, Crystal began singing around her hometown of West Covina, California in church, community functions and talent shows, she landed her first professional gig at age sixteen singing background for Jessica Simpson and later went on to share the stage with major artists, Stevie Wonder, Yolanda Adams, Kanye West, Heather Headley, Neyo, Nancy Wilson, John Legend, Babyface, Howard McCrary, Joss Stone and Smokey Robinson to name a few. Crystal recently returned to her Latin roots touring as a featured vocalist with Latin superstars Joan Sebastian and Christian Castro. Armed with a resume that most performers would dream of, Crystal Starr is taking center stage! While promoting her upcoming CD release, Crystal has been starring in the Broadway bound musical “Baby it’s You,” and her powerhouse vocals are again receiving great attention. Legendary record producer Richard Perry calls Crystal “The Bus” that carries you to the finish line.“ From the laid back soul groove of “Cake” to the techno beat of “Talk to me” or the beautiful Latin feel of “Sweeter,” the track that seems to best sum up this rising star is the funky horn laced “Invincible” in which Crystal sings “Can’t nobody take my shine, don’t know why you even try, I’m invincible…I’m a rock star baby” and we believe her! |
